The Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) is an innovative science education program supported by the Amgen Foundation. Through the partnership with the Chinese University of Hong Kong (香港中文大學), the Hong Kong ABE site is established in 2016. The program introduces students to the importance of scientific discovery through the hands-on molecular biology learning experience that links core science concepts to real-world applications. Through providing the loan of research-grade equipment, supplies, curriculum and professional development, we empower the secondary school teachers and lab technicians, bringing biotech experiments that seem unreachable into classrooms.
